Klezmer Conservatory Band

Klezmer Conservatory Band
Music on Norway Pond's collaboration with New England Conservatory continues with an ensemble from their Klezmer Conservatory Band (KCB). A leading voice in the world of klezmer music and Yiddish song for over 40 years, the KCB continues to thrill audiences all over the world. With a repertoire ranging from Yiddish standards to rousing dance medleys and little-known gems, the KCBs musicians have served as important ambassadors in promoting the universal appeal of Jewish music. Over the years, the band has appeared at dozens of international music festivals in major venues across the U.S.A., Europe and Australia and on ten international broadcasts of “A Prairie Home Companion.”
As is their frequent custom, an ensemble from the full KCB will regale us in Hancock with lively and inspirational music from the Eastern European Jewish tradition.Tickets for the March 26, 4:00 p.m. performance in Hancock's Meetinghouse are $25; students of all ages are free. Bring the kids - they'll enjoy it! For more information and tickets visit www.musiconnorwaypond.org or call 603-525-9303.
