Dec 12, 2017

The Trump Administration has been critical of the North American Free Trade Agreement, at times even threatening to pull out.  Now, with re-negotiations underway more than 20 years after NAFTA came into effect,  we check in on what its impact has been, including on New Hampshire.

  • David Alward - Consul General of Canada to New England.
  • Matthew Beck - Business Representative for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in New Hampshire and Maine. He serves on the Legislative Committee of the New Hampshire AFL-CIO and is Vice President of the Maine Fair Trade Campaign, a coalition of groups working to change the NAFTA free trade agreement model.
  • Doug Palmer - Senior trade reporter for Politico. He has covered trade in Washington for more than 18 years and has been covering the Trump Administration as it renegotiates NAFTA.
  • Dawn Wivell - CEO of Firebrand International, LLC, a N.H.-based firm that focuses on international business strategies. She spent 21 years as the International Trade Director for New Hampshire and established the N.H. International Trade Resource Center. She is executive director of the N.H. Aerospace and Defense Export Consortium.
