And a county prosecutor defends her decision not to bring criminal charges against two deans at Phillips Exeter Academy for their handling of an alleged sexual assault.

Hadley Barndollar reported on Phillips Exeter Academy deans whose handling of an alleged sex assault case in 2015 again came under scrutiny.  Although state police had drafted arrest warrants for the deans, alleging they violated a mandatory sex abuse reporting law, the Rockingham County Attorney decided against pursuing criminal charges after a year-long investigation.  The deans have recently defended their decision not to report the incident to police. The story was first reported by the New York Times.

A former Dartmouth professor says she reported an incident of sexual harassment involving Todd Heatherton – one of three professors now under criminal investigation – to the college about 15 years ago, raising questions about Dartmouth's handling of misconduct complaints.

Officials in Rochester will be recounting the city's Keno voteas residents approve Keno by just one vote, 1,036-1,035, in municipal elections.

A controversial school choice billclears a major hurdle in the State House, receiving a positive recommendation from the House Education Committee by a 10-9 vote.
