Although state police had drafted arrest warrants for the deans, alleging they violated a mandatory sex abuse reporting law, the Rockingham County Attorney decided against pursuing criminal charges after a year-long investigation. The deans have recently defended their decision not to report the incident to police. The story was first reported by the New York Times.
