Trooper Hit By SUV During Traffic Stop Remains Hospitalized

 

A New Hampshire state trooper who was injured in a hit-and-run accident remains hospitalized.

Authorities say the trooper was hit by an SUV while making a traffic stop early Sunday morning.

WMUR-TV reports a vehicle heading southbound on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack struck the trooper and his cruiser. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name was not immediately released.

State police are searching for the driver of a light colored Chevrolet Trailblazer with damage to the passenger side mirror and front passenger window. They're asking anyone with information to call 603-223-4381.
