Teen Charged in Killing Farmington Man, Shooting Mother

A 17-year-old has been indicted in New Hampshire on charges of killing a man and shooting his own mother.

Authorities said 33-year-old James LaPrade was found shot in the head in Farmington in March 2017.

Last week, a grand jury indicted James Belyea, of Farmington, in LaPrade's death on charges of first- and second-degree murder. Belyea also was indicted on an attempted murder charge in the shooting of his mother, Denise Belyea.

James Belyea is scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 2 at Strafford County Superior Court. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer, and a number couldn't be found for him.
