About 700 miles of New Hampshire highways will be repaved or maintained this year, according to the state Department of Transportation.
It's the third straight year the DOT has increased its paving work.
Officials point to the 2014 passage of an 4 cent per gallon increase to the state gas tax, which they say provided about about $33 million dollars in additional funding.
$19 million of that funding will be used for paving projects.
The Executive Council approved $34 million dollars worth of paving projects last week.
