Special Broadcast: Call-in Special on New England's Economy

Are you a New England business owner trying to keep your company afloat, and looking after your employees? A laid-off employee facing a loss of income? A supplier watching business drive up? We want to hear your stories about how the economic unrest brought on by the coronavirus pandemic is impacting your life and your bottom line.

Join us this Friday, April 10, at 9 a.m. for the latest call-in special from American Amplified and the New England News Collaborative. The program – 'How Can New England’s Economy Survive Coronavirus?' – will look at the effects the coronavirus pandemic is already having on the regional economy. Voices from throughout New England will be featured – from small and seasonal businesses, to big employers. John Dankosky will host the broadcast, originating from New England Public Media in Springfield, Massachusetts.

To join the conversation, call in on Friday between 9 and 10 a.m. at 888-720-9677. You can also send a tweet at @NENCNewEngland, or an email to: AmericaAmplified@nepr.net. Following the special, a live broadcast of NHPR's The Weekly N.H. News Roundup will then air at 10 a.m.

Friday’s special is the latest in the series of America Amplified programs looking at the coronavirus pandemic in New England. The first special in the series, on March 27, was broadcast from Connecticut Public and focused on the impact of school closures throughout New England. The second special, on April 3, focused on front line health care workers, and was broadcast from New Hampshire Public Radio.
