Snowmobile Crash Seriously Injures Connecticut Man

A Connecticut man on a rented snowmobile suffered serious injuries Saturday apparently as the result of being run off the trail by riders going in the opposite direction, according to a news release from Fish and Game.

The victim, Jason Jeffrey, 38, of Newington, was pinned between a tree and his wrecked snowmobile.

The accident occurred about 12:30 pm on Corridor 11 also known as Jefferson Notch Road.

Fish and Game is seeking information on a yellow Ski-Doo and a “dark-colored” Ski-doo that Jeffrey said forced him off the trail, said Sergeant Mark Ober of Fish and Game.

Jeffrey is being treated at Littleton Regional hospital for “unspecified but serious” injuries.
