PLEIN AIR WORKSHOP WITH LOCAL ARTIST LYNN BART, SUGAR HILL
Friday June 5 3:00-5:00 PM Hosted by Ammonoosuc Community Trust. Near Polly’s Pancake Parlor in a section of the field for which ACT has a conservation easement. Starter kits will be provided for free, plein air is the art of painting outdoors. TWO OLD FRIENDS, CELTIC & AMERICAN COUNTRY CONCERT, BERLIN

Jim Prendergast and Emery Hutchins, are musicians who play and sing a unique combination of CeItic and American country music and, in their performances, seek to show the connection between the two genres. Emery is a well-known performer of a variety of different styles of acoustic music ranging from traditional Irish tunes to vintage American country music songs. Jim worked for thirty years in the recording studios and orchestra pits of Nashville TN. Jim now resides in NH and is an active participant in New England’s thriving Celtic/Folk music scene. VOLUNTEER TRAINING FOR TREATING INVASIVE PLANTS IN COOS COUNTY, PITTSBURG
Wednesday and Thursday June 10 & 11 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM are the days for the training. Come to one or both. Meet at the NH DOT shed at the bottom of Indian Stream Road. Volunteers are needed and will be trained to help control invasive species in northern Coos County. Training will include methods of controlling phragmites and knotweed without the use of chemicals.You will be asked to make a commitment to continue treatments through the summer. GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION FOR THE MORRISON’S NEW REHAB CENTER, WHITEFIELD
Wednesday June 10 5:00-6:30 PM at 6 Terrace Street. Community members are invited to celebrate The Morrison’s new Rehabilitation Center. There will be a ribbon-cutting at 5:15 PM, raffles, refreshments, giveaways, tours, and a gift for each of the first 100 guests. The 4000 square foot addition has been designed to provide both outpatient and inpatient physical and occupational therapy to The Morrison residents and community members. The Morrison, a non-profit, has partnered with the Foundation for Healthy Communities as a designated site for its NH Community Falls Prevention Program. UNH COOPERATIVE EXTENSION FALL MASTER GARDEN PROGRAM, LITTLETON
Do you love gardening and sharing your experiences with others? Consider becoming a Master Gardener volunteer for UNH Cooperative Extension. This is an opportunity to share the knowledge and experiences gained from our training to educate individuals, organizations and communities.
