VOLUNTEER TRAINING FOR TREATING INVASIVE PLANTS IN COOS COUNTY, PITTSBURG
Wednesday and Thursday June 10 & 11 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM are the days for the training. Come to one or both. Meet at the NH DOT shed at the bottom of Indian Stream Road. Volunteers are needed and will be trained to help control invasive species in northern Coos County. Training will include methods of controlling phragmites and knotweed without the use of chemicals.You will be asked to make a commitment to continue treatments through the summer. GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION FOR THE MORRISON’S NEW REHAB CENTER, WHITEFIELD
Wednesday June 10 5:00-6:30 PM at 6 Terrace Street. Community members are invited to celebrate The Morrison’s new Rehabilitation Center. There will be a ribbon-cutting at 5:15 PM, raffles, refreshments, giveaways, tours, and a gift for each of the first 100 guests. The 4000 square foot addition has been designed to provide both outpatient and inpatient physical and occupational therapy to The Morrison residents and community members. The Morrison, a non-profit, has partnered with the Foundation for Healthy Communities as a designated site for its NH Community Falls Prevention Program.
