Ten full-time employees at NHTI - Concord’s Community College will be laid off next month.
The Union Leader reports the layoffs are in response to a $1.2 million budget deficit resulting from a decrease in enrollment.
Enrollment has dropped across New Hampshire’s entire community college system since its peak in 2011.
The system includes Manchester Community College and Nashua Community College.
The faculty cuts at NHTI were made across multiple departments, including English, accounting and health services. Officials say no further cuts are planned in the near future.
