NHPR reporter Jason Moon is one of just a dozen journalists from across the nation selected for a fellowship designed to help improve media coverage of critical health care issues. The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation announced its 2020 class for the Health Coverage Fellowship. Reporters from The Washington Post, Kaiser Health News and CNN were among those also selected for the honor.
As part of an intensive nine-day learning session this March, Jason will have access to more than 75 speakers including health officials, practitioners, researchers and patients – as well as field visits to see first-hand how the health care system works. As Jason delves deeper into the healthcare system, we expect NHPR listeners will also benefit from this fellowship as learnings may inform and expand his health reporting here in New Hampshire.
