Commencement season continues in New Hampshire.

On Saturday, New England College awarded 539 degrees on the Simon Green in Henniker.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Maggie Hassan encouraged the new graduates to consider staying in the state to build lives and careers.

"New Hampshire's economy is strengthening with emerging sectors like clean energy, biotech and advanced manufacturing, coupled with our already strong tourism and outdoor recreation industries," Hassan said. "The Granite State has many, many opportunities for all of you to pursue."

Franklin Pierce University, Southern New Hampshire University and Great Bay Community College were among the New Hampshire schools holding commencement ceremonies this weekend.
