The Nashua Board of Aldermen will hold a special meeting Tuesday to discuss the electronic bingo game Keno.
Last month Gov. Chris Sununu signed legislation legalizing Keno, but where the game can be played is still up to cities and towns.
The head of the state’s lottery commission, Charlie McIntyre, will kick the meeting off by giving a presentation on how the game will work if residents end up approving Keno.
If the board agrees, they’ll put the question to Nashua voters this November.
The Commission reached out to Nashua to offer this presentation and will likely be doing so with other cities in the coming months. Residents of towns - will weigh in on Keno on Town Meeting Day in March.
The law specifies that, once Keno is locally approved, only places with pouring liquor licenses, like bars and restaurants, can offer the games.
