The cities of Manchester and Nashua are seeking donations of cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment as they work to respond to the coronavirus outbreak.
Nashua will host a donation drive from 9 a.m. to noon next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, to support local service agencies and nonprofits.
Drive-through collection bins will be set up outside the Traffic Building on Stadium Drive. Residents are asked to donate the following items only:
- Masks: N95 respirator, procedure, surgical
- Face shields
- Non-latex gloves
- Disposable medical gowns
- Cleaning supplies: hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and spray
- Paper towels and toilet paper
- Baby wipes and diapers
- Bottled water
The city of Manchester is also experiencing shortages of cleaning products for its essential service workers, including garbage truck workers, police and firefighters.
City officials are asking residents to donate hand sanitizer, cleaning wipes, disinfectant spray and other bleach-based cleaning products. Donations can be dropped off at Manchester's Central Fire Station.
