On her second day campaigning in the Granite State, Hillary Clinton sat down for a roundtable discussion in Concord.
The Democratic presidential candidate joined students and education leaders on Tuesday at NHTI Community College to talk about getting more people interested in manufacturing work.
The group discussed the challenges including the ongoing stigma around manufacturing jobs.
“We really need to add prestige and distinction to the work that needs to be done in America,” Clinton told the group.
Clinton stressed the importance of manufacturing jobs to the economy, adding that high-paying jobs are available. But also focused on the need to reduce college costs, highlighting the fact that New Hampshire has the highest student debt load of any state in the country.
The Democratic frontrunner shook hands with the nearly dozen people at the event, and then left without taking any questions from the media.
She plans to stop by the State House sometime this afternoon.
On Monday Clinton met with workers at the Whitney Brothers children’s furniture plant in Keene.
