Alligator On The Loose In Popular Chicago Lagoon

NOEL KING, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Noel King. An alligator is on the loose in Chicago. The 4-to-5-foot reptile was spotted in Humboldt Park Lagoon earlier this week. It continues to elude capture. So in the meantime, the city's having some fun. They started a social media contest to name the gator. It's been flooded with entries. Among them, Chance the Snapper, Frank Lloyd Bite, Ruth Gator Ginsburg and Croc Obama. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
