AG Homicide Update: Man Charged With Murdering Wife, Father in Dover

Dover PD

New Hampshire's Attorney General announced the arrest Monday night of Jeramie Colella for allegedly murdering his wife and his father in Dover.

Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval, after an autopsy Wednesday, determined it was a homicide. She concluded the cause of death for Joanna Colella, 43, and Francis Colella, 69, was "manual strangulation."

Colella, 44, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife and his father.

Their bodies were discovered at 18 Tideview Drive in Dover on Monday morning.

Attorney General Gordon MacDonald and Dover Police Chief William Breault did not release additional details on the death. An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.

Colella is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charges in Strafford County Superior Court in Dover on Tuesday.
