A crane has arrived to start lifting construction supplies and materials to the roof of the New Hampshire Statehouse, which is undergoing a make-over to its dome.
The project includes repainting the white base, re-gilding the dome with gold leaf and installing spikes to deter birds.
The Nashua-based general contractor D. L. King and Associates, Inc. has been awarded the contract, and the project completion date is scheduled for November.
The first of several scaffold lifts is scheduled to start Monday.
