Defibrillator Used On N.H. Teen During Basketball Game

A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at a hospital after he suffered an apparent heart attack during a basketball game and was aided by a defibrillator.

The Valley Newsreports Lebanon High School sophomore Christopher Roberge was on the bench during the second quarter when he had a medical episode.

More than half the high schools in New Hampshire now have defibrillators, either in the gymnasium or close by. Many of those have been bought through Matt's Mission, a foundation started by Matt Keene, a Kimball Union Academy alumnus who collapsed during a football team practice in 2006. The school's medical team and a defibrillator saved his life.
