College Student Tries To Make Up To Police Officer For Bad Behavior

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with appreciation for police. The other day we told you of a fugitive who turned himself in and brought doughnuts. Now we have the tale of Celina Dally of Lake Charles, La. She's a college student who went to a wine tasting and passed out. She woke in a jail cell and did not respond well to the surprise, but afterwards, she tried to make up for it by buying a police officer a cake bearing her message of apology - sorry I tried to bite you. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
