Permanent Patterns
Permanent Patterns
New Hampshire artist Ryan Foss is exhibiting his geometric abstraction and expressionism-inspired work for the first time ever at the Nashua Public Library's Art Gallery throughout the months of July and August in an exhibit titled, "Permanent Patterns."
Foss's exhibit includes spray-painted abstracts and stencils of family members, with an emphasis on patterns and design elements. His paintings are influenced by graffiti/street art, urban architecture, color palates and gradients from nature, and his training in computer art and graphic design.
"My goal is to allow the audience to be able to weave in and out of these geometric worlds that appear on the canvas without me telling them where to go," said Foss in a statement.
The gallery is open in the downstairs Chandler Wing of the Nashua Public Library and admission is always free and open to all.
Visitors are also invited to meet Foss on August 11, 2022, at 6:30 pm during a free reception with light refreshments.
