NFL player Emmanuel Acho visits the SiriusXM set at Super Bowl 51 Radio Row at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

It’s safe to say Emmanuel Acho is a renaissance man.

Since leaving the NFL after a career with the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants, Acho has begun to work as an analyst for Fox Sports 1, amassed 435,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and written a book named after a successful series of videos called “Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man.”

The book, like the series, addresses a white audience. Chapters start with questions, provide context, get at the heart of conflicts and then addresses those conflicts with guidance.

How can white Americans better approach uncomfortable conversations about race? And why did Acho feel compelled to write this book, now?
