Remembering Pat Conroy, Who Mined Fiction From Family History

Pat Conroy died on Friday at the age of 70. His family history led to much of his fiction, including his acclaimed novel “The Great Santini.” In 2013, he published his memoir titled “The Death of Santini: The Story of a Father and His Son.” Here & Now’s Robin Young spoke with him about his memoir. Today we revisit that conversation.
