Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders like to talk about the small donations that have fueled his presidential campaign -- "twenty! seven! dollars!" has become a chant familiar to his supporters.
But data released last weekend and reviewed by WGBH shows that at least here, in Massachusetts, Sanders has nearly caught up to his opponent when it comes to larger donations as well -- that's anything over $200.
Nationally in January, Sanders out-raised Hillary Clinton by 60 percent, taking in more than 21 million dollars-- most of it from small donations.
