Kansas City captured its first World Series title in 30 years with a 7-2 win over the New York Mets last night in New York. The Royals won the series 4 games to 1.

Kansas City rallied to tie the final game in the 9th inning and then locked up the championship with a 5-run outburst in the 12th.
