Every day, numbers are cited in reference to the migrant crisis in Europe – 800,000 in Germany, 4 million leaving Syria, less than 2,000 in the United States.
It’s tough for any of these figures to mean much without the scale and context of the entire picture, and without holding up each country’s individual situation next to its migrant problem or solution.
