Durst 'Confession' Raises Ethical Questions

The Jinx,” which aired its last installment on HBO last weekend, made big news for capturing a supposed “confession” of suspected murderer and real estate heir Robert Durst.

It was widely hailed as a cinematic triumph. But days later, there are still questions being raised about the film, especially ethical questions surrounding that confession. The filmmakers, at first, gave interviews to several outlets. They have since stopped talking to the press.

NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik joins Here & Now’s Robin Young to discuss the documentary.

Correction: An earlier version of this story online incorrectly stated that the filmmakers haven’t spoken to the press since the final episode of “The Jinx.” They have spoken to several outlets but then cancelled several interviews, including NPR.
