Michelangelo may be long gone, but the debate over which items he authored rages on, after an expert at Cambridge University says he’s identified two new sculptures from the hand of the Renaissance master.

Wrought in bronze, these meter-high figures depict two men riding stylized panthers and raising their arms in triumph.

It’s always a risk to attribute a work to such a celebrated artist, but Emeritus Professor Paul Joannides tells Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson he has everything he needs to make a compelling case.
