'Big Three' U.S. Automakers: Bailout Or Bankruptcy?

Congress is considering a $25 billion bailout for Detroit's Big Three automakers. GM shares have fallen nearly 90 percent in the last year, and Ford and Chrysler are also struggling. Some Americans say the mismanaged automakers shouldn't get a bailout. What do you think?

Guests:

Micheline Maynard, senior business correspondent for the New York Times, author of the article "G.M.'s Troubles Stir Question of Bankruptcy vs. a Bailout" published Nov. 12.

Frank Langfitt, NPR's labor correspondent.
