The National Memorial Day Concert

Erich Kunzel leads the National Symphony Orchestra in a Memorial Day concert and celebration at the U.S. Capitol. Featuring actors Joe Mantegna, Gary Sinise and Charles Durning, singer and actress Vanessa Williams, country performer Trace Adkins, opera singer Harolyn Blackwell, retired Gen. Colin Powell and others, this year's concert commemorates the 60th Anniversary of Iwo Jima and honors the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

NPR's Fred Child hosts the radio broadcast.
