Hassan, Lamontagne Tangle Over Infrastructure Funding

Lamontagne and Hassan debate in Manchester.

Candidates for governor, Maggie Hassan and Ovide Lamontagne, met in Manchester to debate business and economic development in the Granite State.

A key part of the debate centered on improving infrastructure. Both Ovide Lamontagne and Maggie Hassan agree that the state needs to improve its infrastructure and complete the widening of I-93. But they clashed over how to fund it.

Lamontagne ruled out tax increases, instead suggesting the use of federal government-backed bonds. He criticized Hassan for not doing the same:

Obama Says Romney Plan Is "Sketchy"

President Obama tells crowd of 6000 in Manchester that Mitt Romney has failed to explain how he’d pay for his tax cut plan.

NH is the third swing state the president visited since Tuesday’s debate. And as soon as he hit the stage, the president told the crowd that Mitt Romney had whiffed when he was asked to explain the math of his proposed tax cuts.

"Listen NH, you’ve heard of the New Deal, the square deal, the fair deal. Mitt Romney’s trying to sell you a sketchy deal. You don’t need a sketchy deal.”

Lamontagne Stumps With Rubio And Former Governors

Flanked by Former Governors John Sununu, Steve Merrill, and Craig Benson, Ovide Lamontagne told a boisterous crowd  at Browns’ Lobster Pound in Seabrook, that the GOP needs to recapture  the office its held for only two of the last 16 years.  Lamontagne heaped special praise on Benson, N.H.'s last Republican Governor.
