Commission Recommends Closing State Nursery

Since 1910, the New Hampshire State Nursery has been quietly churning out low-cost tree seedlings for New Hampshire residents to plant.

Now, the Governor's Efficiency Commission recommends closing the nursery in order to save money.

Meanwhile, most New Hampshire residents may be unaware the nursery exists.

Free State Project Picks New Hampshire

It's official. The Free State Project has picked New Hampshire as it's home base. If everything goes as planned, the Granite State could see some 20,000 libertarian-minded people move here in the next few years. Laura's guests are Elizabeth McKinstry, Vice-President of the Free State Project and John Babiarz, Chairman of the New Hampshire Libertarian Party. We'll also hear from a Free Stater in California and from the Democratic and Republican Parties here in the Granite State.

Candidates for NH Governor Debate in Portsmouth

North Country Debate Downsized Amid Labor Protests

Yesterday's gubernatorial forum at the Mount Washington hotel did not go off according to plan?. Three candidates ? republicans Craig Benson and Bruce Keough, and Libertarian John Babiarz participated; while four others, Democrats Jim Normand, Beverly Hollingworth, Mark Fernald, and Republican Gordon Humphrey, refused to cross an information picket set up to protest hotel labor policy.
