The Second Amendment on Trial

For the first time in decades the US Supreme Court has the chance to define once and for all “the right to bear arms”. The case stems from a controversial ban on guns in D.C., which has made its way through court after court. And now, groups on both sides of the gun issue eagerly await the Justices’ ruling expected in June.

Bill to Prohibit Guns at State House Draws Fire

A plan to make it a felony for anybody but on-duty law enforcement officers to carry a weapon at the State House is facing stiff resistance. State gun groups have the proposal in their crosshairs, and the politically-charged issue is leaving top House Democrats feeling a bit gun-shy.

A Conversation on Concealed Weapons Licenses

New Hampshire Police Chiefs are looking for more clarity on who should be allowed to get a concealed weapons license and who shouldn’t. It’s an issue now being considered by the State Supreme Court, after a Dover man had his license revoked, he says, unjustly.

Concealed Weapons Bill

A new bill in the legislature would allow New Hampshire residents to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. It passed the Senate by a narrow margin and now moves to the House. Some say it makes us safer, others disagree. Mike Arnold hosts. His guests are Senator Joe Foster, a Democrat representing Nashua and a lawyer, and Senator Bob Boyce, a Republican representing Alton Bay and co-sponsor of the bill.
