But even people who were not swamped by flood waters are feeling the effects. When the Lamprey River flooded the Verizon switching station in Raymond, some 6 thousand phone lines were knocked out completely. And that's meant that businesses that rely on the phone for customers are taking a big hit. Jeff Kantor owns CarWorld. They sell recycled car parts.....mostly over the phone. In fact, the unions have adopted a slogan called, “Stop the Sale†to convince regulators to scuttle the deal.
