Seeking Refuge in Shipping Containers

Today, we’re thinking ahead about how the hobbled nation of Haiti might rebuild. Located on the island of Hispanola, Haiti has several deep water ports and easy access to stacks of shipping containers. The Seed Project, from the Clemson School of Architecture, would like to turn all those empty steel boxes into homes for displaced Haitians. Assistant Professor Martha Skinner is organizing the project.
