CD1 Candidates Mix It Up in Debate, and Occasionally Exaggerate the Facts

The attacks and counterattacks between political candidates make it hard for voters to know who’s telling the truth.

Political analysts say whether it’s stretching the truth, or omitting a relevant fact, the game is often played out in debates.

The debates between First District Representative Carol Shea Porter and former Congressman Jeb Bradley are no exception.

New Hampshire Public Radio’s David Darman has more.

Hodes and Horn Trade Swipes in 2nd District Debate

Congressman Paul Hodes and his Republican challenger Jennifer Horn sparred over the economy, energy, and social security in their debate Friday evening.
The candidates for the Second Congressional District found little common ground on most of the issues.

Post-Morting the 1st District Debate

On Thursday, candidates Carol Shea Porter and Jeb Bradley faced off in a debate at Franklin Pierce’s Marlin Fitzwater Center in Manchester. The candidates discussed and debated their platforms on everything from education and energy to Social Security and the Portsmouth Shipyard. We look back at last night’s debate and see where the race goes from here.

Lynch, Kenney Face Off in Debate over Economy

The state budget and the economy dominated the conversation between Governor John Lynch and his Republican challenger state Senator Joe Kenney.

The two faced off in Manchester at St. Anselm College this afternoon.

Kenney accused Lynch of overseeing a significant increase in state spending, while failing to address some of the state’s most pressing needs.
