Mike Pride and Mark Travis are the authors of "My Brave Boys," published by the University Press of New England. It's a history of the 5th New Hampshire Regiment, which fought in the some of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War, and sustained one of the highest casualty rates of any regiment in the Union Army.
