Foster Families in NH

By Laura Knoy on Wednesday, May 9, 2001.

Hundreds of NH kids stay with foster families each year. We'll look at who takes in these children whose lives are in turmoil, and what's involved in becoming a foster parent. We'll also talk about why kids are removed from their homes, and how the state matches them with foster families. Laura's guests are Hancock Police Chief Mike Sielicki, Chair of NH Foster Parents and Gail DeGoosh, NH Dept. of Health & Human Services Foster Care Program Specialist. (www.dhhs.state.nh.us)
