Earlier this month, Manchester’s South Willow Street became home to a new Shaws supermarket.
Last summer the state’s first Super Stop and Shop moved in just down the road.
These new grocery stores offer customers everything from bread to sushi to linens to c.d’s…
They even offer babysitting for parents who want to shop in peace.
But as the number of supersized supermarkets grows in Manchester, small neighborhood markets don’t seem to be suffering.
As New Hampshire Public Radio Correspondent Rebecca Kaufman discovered, neighborhood stores don’t need to offer gimmicks to bring customers in.
