L-CHIP Contends With Steep Cuts

One of the casualties from the state budget debate is New Hampshire�s newest conservation program. State lawmakers slashed spending for the Land and Community Heritage Investment Program, or L-CHIP, by more than 90-percent. Local groups say they have limited opportunities to replace an effective program. But some lawmakers who voted for the cut say L-CHIP�s success shows state money isn�t needed. New Hampshire Public Radio�s Doug MacPherson reports.
