Winchester's Thayer High School is gradually closing its doors.
In two years, the town will be without a high school.
But it wasn't too long ago that Winchester had what every community wants:
Energized teachers, engaged students, and administrators with vision.
Many educators considered the school a national model.
So what happened?
In the first of a two part series on Thayer High, New Hampshire Public Radio's Dan Gorenstein went to Winchester to find out.
