American Tissue May Have Deceived Investors

The same accounting firm that allegedly allowed Enron to decieve investors and employees has cropped up in the financial dealings of American Tissue. American Tissue owned the pulp and paper mills in Gorham and Berlin until they filed for bankruptcy last summer. And now federal investigators are looking into the role that auditors at Arthur Andersen may have played in American Tissues finances. Newsday, a newspaper published on Long Island, has been following the story. Editor Greg Truman spoke with NHPR's David Darman about what investigators have found.
