Pledge of Allegiance

By Laura Knoy on Tuesday, April 16, 2002.

A bill before the New Hampshire Senate would make The Pledge of Allegiance mandatory in all public schools-requiring students to stand during it’s recitation. The proposal is widely supported, but some critics fear it raises civil liberty issues. What do you think? Call in to The Exchange during the show and tell us what The Pledge of Allegiance means to you, and whether you think it should be mandated in schools. 1-800-892-6477.
