Flowers and Phones: The Real Story

By Lisa Peakes on Monday, February 11, 2002.

Most people assume that when they call a local number, they're connecting to a telephone that's within city limits.

Most people probably also realize that when they call an 800 number, their call could be answered by someone hundreds of miles away.
