The Land at the Northern Tip of NH

By John Walters on Thursday, January 17, 2002.

Conservation groups and the state and federal government are working to preserve the 171,000 acres of International Paper land that lies at the tip of New Hampshire. Part of it will be set aside as a nature preserve and most will be managed by the Lyme Timber Company under a conservation easment. We learn about the company and its mission from general partner Peter Stein.
