State Budget Won't Shrink Until Laws Change

No matter what army the Governor and lawmakers bring to the upcoming budget discussions, they have a huge task ahead.

It's estimated they're going to have to find an additional 150 million dollars in cuts to balance the state's budget by the end of June.

Steve Norton is the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies.

He tells NHPR's Mark Bevis that this is going to be the toughest budget battle the state has seen in decades.
