The acting head of the White Mountain National Forest is celebrating his first month on the job. Tom Wagner came to New Hampshire from the Superior National Forest in Minnesota. He spoke recently with NHPR's Doug Macpherson about the purpose of national forests, the competing uses of the White Mountain National Forest, and whether he plans to stay on permanently in his new job.
