He was a President, a Vice President, the minister to France, and the father of the University of Virginia. Thomas Jefferson was one of the foremost voices of the great patriots who helped win the American Revolution and one of the great lovers of our country and its ideals. Author Eric Peterson took on the daunting task of going through the entirety of Jefferson's published works including 20,000 of his letters. Today on the Exchange we listen to the timeless words of Thomas Jefferson and see what they can still teach us still today? on patriotism, on happiness, on gratitude and on nature's beauty. Laura's guest is Eric Peterson, author of "Light and Liberty: Reflections on the Pursuit of Happiness".
