Writers on a New England Stage - Doris Kearns Goodwin

Join NHPR's Lauren Chooljian as she hosts the next edition of Writers on a New England Stage, a partnership of The Music Hall and New Hampshire Public Radio.

Author, historian and Pulitzer Prize-winner Doris Kearns Goodwin returns to The Music Hall to discuss her latest work, Leadership: In Turbulent Times.

The book chronicles the journeys of four of our nation’s presidents – Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson. Through those histories, Goodwin explores questions of natural leadership ability versus developed ability; the relationship between ambition and adversity on leadership growth; and how leaders both perceive themselves and are perceived by others.

Doris Kearns Goodwin will be in conversation with Lauren Chooljian, NHPR’s Politics and Policy Reporter, on Friday, September 28, at 7 p.m.

For tickets, stop by The Music Hall box office, call 603-436-2400, or purchase online.
