While campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Nashua Thursday, Vice President Joe Biden called Donald Trump's continued claims that the election is rigged, as a “a threat to our democratic process.”
During the afternoon rally at Nashua Community College, Biden also touted Clinton’s plans on college affordability, renewable energy and paid family leave – all issues he stressed New Hampshire lawmakers are dealing with.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Gov. Maggie Hassan joined Biden on stage. Biden has endorsed Hassan and when talking about her opponent, Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte, he had this to say:
“Maggie doesn’t have to make anything up to deal with her opponent, who I think is a decent woman, I like her – I find her, I don’t’ have anything negative to say about her,” Biden said.
Recent polls show Ayotte and Hassan in a near tie.
Trump’s Vice Presidential pick Mike Pence will also be in the state this week. He’s hosting a town hall event Friday night in Exeter.
